Refurbishing an iconic Newark building
Sponsored, in part, by L & M Development Partners
The landmark Hahne Building returns to its former glory in downtown Newark, including efforts to preserve its original structure, thanks to L&M Development Partners and Prudential. The refurbishing effort is impressive but perhaps none more so than the steel and glass skylight that once was painted over black.
“It’s hard not to fall in love with the Hahne Building.
Jacob Pine, L&M Development Partners
Today, the Hahne Building is home to Express Newark, an arts collaboratory hosted by Rutgers University-Newark, as well as a Whole Foods supermarket, restaurants, cafés, company offices and residences. Its celebrated lobby and facilities has been the site of special announcements, seminars, art shows, and a film festival.
